As his wife, Mary, explains, "It’s an album that is from the vault, so it is his voice, even though he’s lost his voice to aphasia from the stroke.” This collection draws from recordings he made throughout his late twenties up until his early fifties, just before his health complications.

The album comprises 12 tracks that have been handpicked by long-time collaborator Kyle Lehning, a producer who has worked closely with Randy throughout his career. Mary highlights the synergy between Randy and Kyle, stating, “He knew Randy’s style. He picked the songs that he did because it shows that Randy’s voice has no boundaries, really. He could sing anything.” With the help of modern technology, Kyle refined these classic tracks, giving them a contemporary polish while maintaining their authenticity.
